It all started when I was 11 years old and couldn’t find a hair elastic strong enough to hold my hair. Frustrated by constant slipping and breakage, I decided to take matters into my own hands. Determined to create a solution, I spent countless hours researching, testing, and perfecting. I launched Hailey’s Hair Elastics with just seven colors, selling them in my hometown of Toronto to local dance studios and fitness centers as a small fundraising project for the city’s hospital, where I was a patient many years ago. Starting to sell at local pop ups in front of my house and getting the word out through social media.
What began as a small project gained unexpected momentum. Dance studios began placing bulk orders, fitness centers restocked regularly, and local schools reached out for fundraising collaborations. Seeing the excitement from my community and the growing demand, I realized I had created something truly valuable.
I balanced school with running my business, learning firsthand about inventory, customer service, and marketing. Each sale reinforced my entrepreneurial spirit and taught me the importance of resilience, creativity, and hard work.
Today, I’ve grown that ambition into a multifaceted career as Hailey Genevieve — an internationally published, Toronto-born fashion stylist. I’ve had the privilege of working on runway shows, commercials, photoshoots, and music videos across North America, with features in Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, L’Officiel, Glamour, and Vogue. My client portfolio includes artists signed to Universal Music and celebrated athletes, including Olympians and stars from the WNBA, NBA, and NFL.
Merging my passion for styling, creativity, and social media, I now provide premier styling services in Miami and beyond—bringing artistic visions to life through photoshoots, branding campaigns, editorials, and more. My experience extends into content creation, and collaborations with leading beauty, fashion, and lifestyle brands.
What began as a simple product idea has evolved into a career rooted in creativity, strategy, and business. Whether I’m styling, creating, or collaborating, my mission remains the same: to bring extraordinary visions to life and support women in business.
